Beachcomber's Punch
Material Components
- 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1/2 ounce white grapefruit juice
- 1/2 ounce apricot brandy
- 1/2 ounce sugar syrup
- 1 1/2 ounces aged blended rum
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 6 drops pernod
- 6 ounces crushed ice
Vessel

Preparation
- Put everything into a blender.
- Blend at high speed for five seconds.
- Pour unstrained into a champagne flute.
- Add more crushed ice to fill, if necessary.
- Garnish with a mint sprig.
Notes
A midcentury creation from Donn Beach, this carefully balanced cocktail shows off the flavor of apricot brandy without being too sweet.
I used Hamilton 86 Demerara Rum for this one, and it worked really well.
