Material Components

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce sugar syrup
  • 1/4 ounce falernum
  • 3/4 ounce ginger beer
  • 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Garnish

maraschino cherry speared to a pineapple chunk and a dried hibiscus flower

Preparation

  1. Shake with ice cubes.
  2. Pour unstrained into an old fashioned glass.

Notes

Wow, ok. I guess I like bourbon now? But with lime, falernum, ginger beer and Angostura, this drink has a strong Tiki vibe, even without the rum.
