Christmas Eve of Destruction

Material Components

  • 1 ounce black blended overproof rum
  • 1 ounce Bénédictine
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce nutmeg syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

Vessel

Collins glass

Garnish

Lime wheel studded with 3 to 5 cloves, and grated nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a Collins glass filled two-thirds of the way with crushed ice.
  2. Swizzle until chilled.
  3. Fill glass to the brim with crushed ice.
  4. Garnish with clove-studded lime wheel and freshly grated nutmeg.

Notes

Have a holly jolly apocalypse! Or at least, it may feel like the end times in the morning if you whip up a batch of these to "leave out for Santa".
