Material Components

  • 1 1/2 ounces reposado tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce triple sec
  • 3/4 ounce Grand Marnier

Preparation

  1. Shake everything with ice cubes.
  2. Pour unstrained into a salt-rimmed old fashioned glass (prepared in advance by moistening the rim with a lime wedge, then dipping it in a saucer of kosher salt).

Notes

Better start searching for your lost shaker of salt, because this is the best margarita recipe I've tried (and I've tried a few).
