Port Light
Material Components
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce passion fruit syrup
- 1/4 ounce grenadine
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 8 ounces crushed ice
Vessel
Port Light glass
Garnish
pineapple chunk, cocktail cherry, and mint sprig
Preparation
- Put everything into a blender.
- Blend at high speed for five seconds.
- Pour unstrained into a Port Light glass.
- Add more ice to fill.
Notes
Sound once and pass on the left when you see a port light. If you see two, you're drinking too much to be sailing at night.
I don't typically go for bourbon (my bottle of Bulleit is used for cooking, mostly), but after the ice started to melt and it mellowed a bit, this drink definitely grew on me.
