Ronrico Planter's No. 3

Material Components

  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 sticks fresh pineapple
  • 3 teaspoons sugar syrup
  • 2 ounces aged column still rum
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 4 ounces crushed ice
  • 1/2 ounce aged column still overproof rum

pineapple slice, orange wheel, and a cocktail cherry

Preparation

  1. Put everything—except the overproof rum—into a blender.
  2. Blend at high speed until pineapple liquifies (usually around 30 seconds).
  3. Pour unstrained into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.
  4. Float overproof rum on top of drink.
  5. Garnish with a pineapple slice, an orange wheel, and a cocktail cherry.
