Material Components

  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1/2 ounce sugar syrup
  • 1 ounce lightly aged blended rum
  • 1 ounce aged pot still rum
  • 1 teaspoon maraschino cherry syrup
  • 3 ounces crushed ice

Preparation

  1. Put everything—except the aged pot still rum—in a blender.
  2. Blend for five seconds.
  3. Pour unstrained into an old fashioned glass.
  4. Serve reserved rum separately in a shot glass, to be poured into the drink.
  5. Sip assembled drink without a straw.
