Singapore Sling (1970s–?)
Material Components
- 2 ounces gin
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- 3/4 ounce Cherry Heering
- 1/4 ounce Cointreau
- 1/4 ounce Bénédictine
- 1/4 ounce grenadine
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1/2 ounce seltzer
Vessel
Collins glass
Garnish
cocktail cherry and slices of orange and pineapple
Preparation
- Shake everything—except soda—with ice.
- Stir in soda.
- Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass.
- Garnish with a cocktail cherry and slices of orange and pineapple.
Notes
Working my way through the Grog Log means this is my third and final Singapore Sling recipe (for now). And while I like the 1930s version the best for its simplicity, there's something to be said for the added depth here.
