Material Components

  • 3 ounces pineapple juice
  • 3/4 ounce grenadine
  • 1 teaspoon heavy cream
  • 1 ounce club soda
  • 3 ounces crushed ice

paper parasol and a pineapple wedge

Preparation

  1. Put everything—except soda—in a blender.
  2. Blend for ten seconds.
  3. Stir in soda.
  4. Pour into a tall glass packed with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with a paper parasol stuck to a pineapple wedge on the rim of the glass.

Notes

Temperance never tasted so good! If they'd had these during Prohibition, the noble experiment might have been a bit easier to swallow.
