Notes
An island off the coast of Haiti, Tortuga was home of the Brethren of the Coast, a notorious coalition of buccaneers, the most famous of whom was Captain Henry Morgan himself. For this drink, Trader Vic took more inspiration from the La Florida of Havana than from any pirate swill, but there's no doubt that that the Tortuga will put you two sheets to the wind.
