Voodoo Grog
Material Components
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- 3/4 ounce white grapefruit juice
- 3/4 ounce pimento dram
- 1/4 ounce honey
- 1/2 ounce passion fruit syrup
- 1 egg white
- 1 ounce aged column still rum
- 1 ounce rhum agricole vieux
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 8 ounces crushed ice
Vessel
Voodoo tumbler or large snifter
Garnish
freshly grated nutmeg, mint sprig, and a pineapple stick
Preparation
- Dissolve honey in lime juice.
- Place this mixture and all other ingredients—except nutmeg—in a blender.
- Blend for 20 seconds.
- Pour unstrained into a Voodoo tumbler or large snifter.
- Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.
- Garnish with mint sprig and pineapple stick.
Notes
Get "dolled up" for the evening, but be careful where you stick those pins when you're drinking this Trader Vic's original.
