Voodoo Grog

Material Components

  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce white grapefruit juice
  • 3/4 ounce pimento dram
  • 1/4 ounce honey
  • 1/2 ounce passion fruit syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 ounce aged column still rum
  • 1 ounce rhum agricole vieux
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 8 ounces crushed ice

Vessel

Voodoo tumbler or large snifter

Garnish

freshly grated nutmeg, mint sprig, and a pineapple stick

Preparation

  1. Dissolve honey in lime juice.
  2. Place this mixture and all other ingredients—except nutmeg—in a blender.
  3. Blend for 20 seconds.
  4. Pour unstrained into a Voodoo tumbler or large snifter.
  5. Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.
  6. Garnish with mint sprig and pineapple stick.

Notes

Get "dolled up" for the evening, but be careful where you stick those pins when you're drinking this Trader Vic's original.
